Alabama

 In Alabama, state law requires that children under age 4 must ride in a federally approved, properly secured child car seat or booster seat. Children under age 6 must ride in a federally approved, properly secured child safety seat or vehicle seat belt.


Alaska
 Car seats and Baby Equipment

Children under 16 in a motor vehicle must be properly secured according to state child passenger safety law. Children under age 4 must be properly secured in a federally approved car seat or booster car seat. For children over age 4 but under age 16, Alaska state law requires that the child be properly secured in a vehicle seat belt or federally approved car seat or booster seat, whichever is appropriate for the particular child.


Arizona

All children under age 5 to be properly secured in a federally approved car seat or booster seat. Children age 16 and under must wear a seat belt when riding in the front vehicle seat..


Arkansas

children under age 6 and under 60 pounds be properly secured in a federally approved car seat or booster seat. If a child is at least age 6 and at least 60 pounds, but under age 15, Arkansas law requires that the child use a seat belt.



California

For children under 3, Florida law requires that they be in a separate car seat or a car seat that is integrated into the vehicle. For children ages 4 and 5, a separate car seat, integrated car seat or seat belt may be used.
